Mornings at Deli-News feel like a classic New York deli counter transplanted to Preston Road. We open at 8am seven days a week, and the dining room fills quickly with regulars picking up bagel orders, families sharing brunch plates, and office groups grabbing takeout before the lunch rush.
This page covers what to order when you visit for breakfast or brunch. For the full list of sandwiches, soups, and bakery items, see our full Deli-News menu. To plan a morning event for your office or synagogue, visit our catering page.
Morning Hours and When to Arrive
We serve breakfast and brunch from 8am until 3pm daily. Weekday mornings between 8am and 10am are busiest with commuters and nearby office workers. Saturdays and Sundays draw larger groups, so arriving before 10:30am usually means a shorter wait for a table.
Parking is available in the strip mall lot at 17062 Preston Road at Campbell Road. Need directions or a map? Visit our Map and Contact page.
Popular Breakfast Plates
1. Challah French toast. Thick slices of our house challah, griddled and served with syrup and butter. A guest favorite that pairs well with a side of fresh fruit.
2. Oversized omelets. Three-egg omelets built to order with cheese, vegetables, and your choice of deli meats. Served with home fries and toast or a bagel.
3. Breakfast sandwiches. Eggs with cheese and meat on a fresh bagel or croissant, plus tomato and home fries. A solid option when you need something handheld before work.
4. Potato latkes. Crispy shredded potato pancakes served with applesauce and sour cream. A staple on our Russian-Jewish menu that shows up on breakfast tables year-round.
Bagels, Lox, and Bakery Picks
Our bagels are boiled and baked in-house each morning. Order them plain or with cream cheese, or go for a full lox plate with hand-sliced Nova, tomato, onion, and cucumber on the side. Smoked fish fans can also find whitefish salad and baked salmon options at the counter.
The bakery case opens with the restaurant and stays stocked through the afternoon. Look for cheese Danish, rugalach, onion rolls, and whole challah loaves to take home. Gluten-free onion rolls are available on request.
Tips for Groups and Takeout
Calling ahead helps when you need bagels and cream cheese for six or more people. For office breakfasts of ten or more, our breakfast catering trays include options like the Good Morning Platter and Lox on a Bagel setup.
Takeout orders are welcome during morning hours. You can also order delivery through Uber Eats or ChowNow if you prefer to eat at home or the office.
